Hybrids

N. clipeata x reinwardtiana

A pretty hybrid that still shows some of the distinct clipeata features. Fast growing. Interesting: The midrib of the leaf blades is always off center.

N. clipeata x rafflesiana

A fast growing plant that seems to prefer shady conditions. The stem is extremely thin, making this plant crawl early.

N. hybrid

The parentage of this hybrid seems to be unknown, there are traces that N. maxima and/or N. fusca should be one of the parents. Anyway the plant produces large, sturdy leafs with extremely pretty pitchers. The plant seemed to appreciate increased humidity and a little lower temperatures than given in Manila, since it only pitchered occasionally for us.

N. rafflesiana x veitchii

An easy growing plant with very colorful pitchers, that have already an impressive size and keep on increasing.

N. veitchii x fusca

A vigorous hybrid not shy about it's veitchii heritage. The pitchers are showing more pink as it matures.

N. ventricosa x alata

Fast growing and pitchering heavily this is a beginners favorite. The leaf in the background belongs to a different plant Ipomea aquatica.

N. ventricosa x northiana

A very speedy plant with long lasting, colorful pitchers. A great example for an hybrid growing faster that it's parents.

N. ventricosa X campanulata

Recently this plant got a sudden size increase syndrome and is producing finally some larger leafs and pitchers. Still this plant feels like a miniature Nepenthes having a very fragile appearance
